If Norrington did League of Extraodinary Gentlemen I think he shouldn't even think about touching Akira. The L.E.G. movie was nothing like the comic books.

I full fucking heartedly agree! I don't care WHO is directing, WHO is writing the script, WHO is cast...there is already an Akira movie, and even by today's animation standards it is STILL top of the fucking line. I don't care how good the CG quality would be. They will ruin it if they make it. I sincerely hope that Katsuhiro Otomo puts his foot down and protects his baby. I don't even support the Japanese making a modern adaptaion.
