Glorious return of Hookercide!

I just saw a preview of Grand Theft Auto IV (that's four, you idiots) on X-Play dudes. The graphics are on par with ANYTHING currently on ANY console. Except for Doom 3 of course. Anyway, it takes place in Liberty City during modern times and will have a completely original cast. The main character is from eastern Europe. The citizens will be more citizen-y than ever, i.e. they will have conversations, conflicts, etc. just like REAL people! There will be some kind of online features also. This is going to be the best GTA guys. Judging from the graphics, it'll be PS3, of course. Probably X-Box 360 too. The point is, it looks amazing, and it's coming out in October. October!

Ok, im going to go on a limb here and say that alongside halo, grandtheft auto 3 was one of those games that revolutionized their genres. That said, ive seen some clips and screenshots and it does look orgasmic. I just hope they can follow up on it. I was alittle dissappointed that rockstar hasnt done more with the franchise but rehash the same stuff on psp then port it to ps2. Hopefully this plays as good as it looks

I have been reading a lot about it the past 2 issues of PSM and Gamepro. Most everything you can interact with, such as climbing poles and going into most buildings.

There is no rag to riches story, just a guy trying to make it in America after his cousin promised him lots of money when he arrived.

I got the chance to watch the preview on from the Playstation store, and I am quite pumped.

Even cars people reactions. are going to be more realistic, like having to bust the windows out with your elbow to open up the doors if they are locked. Also there will be more AI, and people doing more random stuff. You will be able to see someone sip their morning coffee in their car or flick out a cigarette butt.

The story lines is good and they just announced multiplayer. They said it wont be an MMO but wouldn't state how many people will be together in Liberty city at one time.

The city is also smaller this time around, but almost matches perfect with New York, and of course a lot more detail

I forgot to mention, this one is supposed to take more of a serious turn and be more mature...What does that mean, I not a clue.

By more mature, maybe they mean there will be less humor. Without all the laughs that they throw in, it will definitely make the game a more somber experience when combined with the more realistic graphics. It should just feel like an overall more adult game. Maybe they're taking out most of the juvenile sex jokes. And FINALLY we can just break the fucking windows to get into cars!

They should have it where you can steal radios out of cars and sell them, like in the Warriors. Man, I should play that game again! Nothing beats the simple idea of running around and beating the crap out of people.
