Wii want your head to explode

I've been noticing a trend on Wii games while watching X-Play...Apparently many third party developers have no idea how to effectively use the Wiimote. Most of the third party games they reviewed had control problems almost so bad the game was unplayable. Inaccuracy in shooters, twitchy movements, lack of response, etcetera etcetera. Anybody have any of these issues with some Wii games? I really want one, but if the only games I'd enjoy playing are Zelda and Wii-Bowling, then why bother?

I think the wii was a great idea but yes i agree i dont think developers really know how to approach this new way of gaming. If its not from nintendo themselves then all it seems to be getting are lame ports that have tacked on features for the wii-mote. I havent played enough games to give an opinion on the twichyness etc. though but thats just my opinion. Think of all the gaming possibilities if they did it right.

online swordfighting
an interactive butcher simulation
poker
abortion clinic 3
interactive tv slob
wife beating simulation

So far on my Wii I have played Ultimate Alliance, Call of Duty, and Red Steel.
I have had no problems with the Wiimote besides when the batteries went low on me on Call of Duty. Then I went into a mass spin and everything went stupid.

I would go with the Wii, it seems all G4 can do is talk trash about consoles anyhow.

Just remember, Super Smash Bros will be online, and they will be expanding more into the realm of online play.

Plus Mario Party 8 is going to be a must have.

Well of course I'll have a Wii eventually, it's friggin cheap! I don't watch anything on G4 but X-Play, and those guys are really great. They don't have any perceptible bias and they're brutally honest. I just really hope that those third party fellas get that shit figured out so the Wii can REALLY shine.

The thing that bothers me is all the third party companies are straying away from Wii, and the PS3. Both consoles are hard to make games for because it is actually a new design. They are just throwing games onto the PS3 with the same quality as the 360 and not putting an upgrade on it.

As you notice with the ps3 tides are turning quite much. But once again, you would be totally satisfied with the Wii hands down.

Yes I have noticed that there are FAR more third party 360 games. I think that part of the Wii-voidance is actually the remote itself because the developers maybe don't want to deal with creating a brand new control scheme. At least with the 360 and PS3 they don't have to THINK about how to map all the buttons, they don't have to WORK on that aspect. And no, I don't care about Mario. The last time I did was Super Mario Sunshine. Is Wii backwards compatible, or would I have to use virtual console?

You can play all your GameCube games, and there is 4 ports on top of your Wii for GC controllers. WEEE!


Super Mario Galaxy looks AMAZING!

That is a game everybody should pick up if they are a Wii owner or soon to be.
